kunzite
Kunzite is a lilac colored variety of Spodumene which is a pyroxene material containing within is, lithium, aluminum and inosilicate. Kunite’s coloring comes from trace amounts of manganese, giving it the characteristic lilac color. Kunzite was discovered in 1902 by Tiffany and Co’s chief jewelor, George Kunz.
