Blue Lace Agate is a variety of banded Chalcedony and a member of the Cryptocrystalline Quartz family of crystals. Its distinctive laced stripes and its pale blue shades have given the name to this stone. Of course, Blue Lace Agate shows up in blue tones, but also white, black, and brown. This is a common form of Agate, prized in particular for its unique and aesthetic charm. You can easily get lost in the beauty of Blue Lace Agate as it resembles the soft blue sky on a warm day or the gorgeous unexplored waters out at sea. The color blue represents serenity, relaxation, and quietness. Historically, Agate was discovered from the artifacts of Neolithic people and it's discovery sparked a world renowned stone cutting and polishing industry in Germany that flourished from the 15th to the 19th century and still exists today.
